This page contains important information related to an incident related to the City’s Click2Gov online utility payment system. On July 3, 2018, Superion, the City’s software vendor for the Click2gov online utility bill payment portal, notified the City that payment card information entered into theClick2Gov system from July 1, 2017 through October 24, 2017 may have been captured by unauthorized persons. The information that could have been captured includes cardholder names, addresses, payment card numbers, expiration dates and security codes.

The City reminds all residents it is always advisable to remain vigilant to the possibility of fraud by reviewing your payment card account statements for any unauthorized activity. Customers should immediately report any unauthorized charges to their card issuer because payment card network rules generally provide that cardholders are not responsible for unauthorized charges reported in a timely manner. The phone number to call is usually on the back of your payment card.

To help prevent this type of incident from happening in the future, the City is working with Superion, and is continuing to take steps to strengthen the security of its payment card website. Customers who have any questions about this incident are encouraged to call 406-582-2303 between the hours of 8am and 5pm Montana time.
