Time to reflect upon another year of Fall Leaf Cleanup.
Mother Nature provided a number of challenges in 2019. Leaves hanging on and refusing to fall, the early snow storm, and some frigid weather. But thanks to the perseverance of city employees and community members over 1,635,000 pounds of leaves were collected and removed from the city streets.
Every year the communities contributions are essential, have a positive impact and are vital to the success of this project.
A heartfelt thanks to all of you for your patience, understanding and support!
The Fall Leaf Cleanup Project was started to keep as many leaves out of the storm drains as possible. When the leaves enter the storm drains, they can plug and then freeze during the winter months, potentially causing damage to the drains.
Fall 2019 Leaf Cleanup Project will start in the core area of Bozeman on Monday, October 21st and in the subdivisions on Thursday, October 24th. The cleanup crews will strictly pick up LEAVES PLEASE: NO brush, NO garden waste, NO yard waste in the collection areas.
- Watch for NO PARKING STREET CLEANING signs. We need you to move your vehicles off the street for the day so our crews can cleanup
- Rake your leaves into the gutter no sooner than the weekend before the scheduled pickup date
- Core Pickup Schedule
- Collect your leaves in paper compostable bags
- Before the scheduled pickup date, place your paper compostable bags on the boulevard
