The State of Montana Gambling Control Division and the Gambling Investigation Bureau has recently launched a new web application that allows anyone to report illegal or suspicious Gambling, Liquor, or Tobacco related activities in Montana.
Once information comes in to the Investigations Bureau, the content is reviewed and if warranted, sent to the appropriate field office for follow-up.
Crime Stoppers is a program, separate from the emergency telephone number system or other standard methods of contacting law enforcement, that allows a member of the community to provide anonymous information about criminal activity.
This allows a person to provide crime solving assistance without being directly involved in the investigation process. Locally, Headwaters Crime Stopper serves the entire Gallatin Valley.
Crime Stoppers callers have options when reporting a crime:
- You can remain completely anonymous
- You can be identified in the report by a number, but provide us with your information.
- You can agree to be identified in the report.
- For those choosing options 2 or 3, cash rewards may be available if the information leads to the prosecution of an offender!
If you have a tip that could help us solve a crime, please Call us at 406-586-1131 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
