Welcome the Bozeman Police Department's website.    Considering that the entire City of Bozeman just migrated to a new website, please bear with us as we make minor fixes to ensure everything is functioning properly.

The Bozeman Police Department is authorized for 65 sworn officers. Patrol officers serve in various capacities, including bike officers, traffic officers, K9 officers, Drug Recognition Experts, Field Training Officers, and Crisis Intervention Team members. Numerous detectives serve as drug detectives, property crimes detectives, crimes against persons detectives, or school resource officers. Another officer serves as a Community Resource Officer.

A group of nearly a dozen civilian support staff augment our ability to serve citizens, serving as Police Information Specialists, an evidence technician, a full time and a part time animal control officer, a full time and a part time code compliance officer, an evidence technician, a crash investigator, and a fleet maintenance specialist.

Volunteers serve our community by assisting us with event logistics and support, photography, evidence documentation, patrolling the parks and trails, and data entry.

As Bozeman continues to grow, we strive to grow with it and keep Bozeman "the most livable place."
