The KaBOOM playground build is THIS SATURDAY, AUGUST 18 and we still need volunteers to help build a new, all-inclusive playground at the brand new Bozeman Sports Park. Adults over 16 may participate in the actual build. Lots of fun kids activities will be provided by our Recreation Staff for the young'uns. Food and beverages will also be provided for everyone on site for the day. The project is funded and sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana and the Bozeman Sports Parks Foundation in cooperation with KaBOOM! and the City of Bozeman.
VOLUNTEERS: Wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes or boots. Bring sunscreen and a hat or visor.
It is OK to just show up & sign up the day of, but we'd prefer to know who's coming!!
PARKING: All volunteers may park in the Chief Joseph Middle School parking lot, 4255 Kimberwicke St, Bozeman, MT 59718, and walk to the park, or park along Andalusian and follow the little orange flags to the site. Drop-offs may be made at the Sports Park parking lot on Baxter prior to 8:00 AM. Children's activities (ages 5 - 15) will be at Chief Joseph Middle School from 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM. All children and volunteers must sign a waiver (same as sign-up form - available on site the day of also).
Design Day was held June 20th at the Beall Recreation Center, 415 N. Bozeman. The three design options have been submitted.

Nearly 200 votes were received and we are so excited to build a playground that will be fun for children of all ages and abilities!
BUILD DAY is Saturday, August 18th, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM at the new Bozeman Sports Park, 4600 Baxter Lane, (north of Meadowlark Elementary and the new high school site). We also need about 30 volunteers for PREP DAY on Thursday, September 16, from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with more prep work on Friday if needed.

PREP DAY (THURSDAY 8/16): Volunteers may park in the Baxter Meadows Park parking lot on Baxter Lane at Flanders Mill Road. Walk on the sidewalk over to the construction trailer at Harper Puckett and down to the playground site. DO NOT GO THROUGH THE ACTIVE CONSTRUCTION AREA.
