Policy and Fee Schedule for Facility Use and Programs

Reserve a Park Pavilion (Shelter) 

Seven pavilions in the city park system are available to rent April 1-September 30 and are offered in the following time blocks: 8:00am-3:00pm or 3:30pm-10:00pm. Pavilions may be reserved six months in advance. Between October 1 and March 31, pavilions are used on a first come, first served basis.
NOTE: Opening and closing dates of the rental season are weather dependent and will be determined by the Parks Superintendent.

Each pavilion available to rent has a capacity. See each pavilion's amenities below. Reservation requests that exceed the capacity will be considered under a user group agreement.  A public assembly permit is required for any park reservation with a group size of 75 or more people.  

  • A park pavilion can only be reserved 6 months in advance.
  • If you are ready to reserve a park pavilion, you will need to come to the Beall Park Recreation Center, 415 N. Bozeman Ave., between 8:30-noon or 1:00-4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, to fill out our forms and pay all fees. No forms are available online at this time.
  • If you would like to check availability of dates at a specific pavilion or have any questions or concerns please call the Recreation Division at 406-582-2290.
  • PLEASE NOTE: ALL PARK RESERVATION FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE. ANY CHANGES TO A PARK RESERVATION APPLICATION WILL REQUIRE A NEW APPLICATION AND FEE PAYMENT.

Park Pavilion Reservation Fees

  • 1-24 people: $25.00
  • 25- 74 people: $50.00
  • 75-199 people: $150.00 reservation fee, $35.00 public assembly permit, and $150 deposit
  • 200 or more: $1.00/person reservation fee, $35.00 public assembly permit, and deposit

Deposits are the same amount as the reservation fee. The deposit will be returned as long as all the conditions of the approval are met and there are no code violations or property damage.

Note:  An open container waiver is required for any person or group wishing to have alcoholic beverages in one of our city parks and must be attached to a park reservation. The fee for the open container waiver is $25.00 for residents living within the city limits of Bozeman and $35.00 for non city residents. Reserve a Park Space

Groups and individuals requesting use of a public park for the purpose of implementing private programs or special events (one-time or seasonal) should fill in the User Group Request Application, save it, and send to recdept@bozeman.net for review and approval. Fees will be assessed when approved, which could take 2-4 weeks.
