Spring Update (June 4th, 2020)
What Happened to the trees?
Last October, severe cold temperatures affected many of our park and boulevard trees. As a result, some trees aren't showing any leaves yet. We're following recommendations from MSU's Horticulture department to monitor these trees into July for signs of recovery. Forestry staff will be prepared to conduct tree removals if necessary and provide residents with replanting options.

Welcome to the Forestry Division
The Forestry Division is committed to providing a healthy, safe, and aesthetically pleasing community forest. Environmental, economic, and social benefits from the urban forest raise the standard of living for Bozeman residents.
The Forestry Division maintains trees on public spaces:
- Street Boulevards
- Developed City Parks
- City Owned Properties
In addition to tree maintenance, Forestry provides other community services. Each year the division helps with the downtown Christmas decorations, the lights at the Story Mansion, hanging the skating rink curtain at Bogert Pavilion, and recycling Christmas trees. The Forestry Division also assists with community events and educational programs for the public.
