E-notification

Save paper and receive your statements electronically:

  1. Complete the E-Notification Request to receive your utility statement electronically.
  2. You will receive an email confirmation when we set up your account for E-Notification.
  3. You will receive one additional printed bill after setting up your E-Notification.

Payment Options

We offer a number of payment options to suit individual needs:

By Phone

Customers can pay their bill with a credit card 24-7. Please have your account number ready.

Drop Box or In Person

Payments can be made in person or through the drop box at City Hall (121 North Rouse Ave.)

In Person: At the finance desk Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Drop Box: Located at the East Side (Rouse Ave) City Hall Entrance

Make a Payment

  1. Go to the City of Bozeman Utilities page and select the “Pay Utilities” icon to log in and make a payment.

Create an Online Account

  1. Go to the City of Bozeman Utilities page and select the “Pay Utilities” icon
  2. Choose “Create New User” in the top right corner of the web page.
  3. Complete the new user questionnaire and select "Create New User". (top right corner of screen)
  4. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you entered. Click the link in your e-mail to enable your account.
  5. Select "Login". (top right corner of screen)
  6. Enter your e-mail address (this is your User ID) and password.
  7. Select "Select Account" (left side of screen)
  8. Select "Edit Master Account".
  9. Select "Add Account"
  10. Enter your account number (using the hyphen – as they appear on your bill).
  11. Enter you cycle/route which appears on the top right section below the account number
  12. "Click Submit" (you may repeat steps 7-11 to add additional accounts)
  13. Next, click "Select Account" to select the account you would like to pay.
  14. Acceptance of the terms and conditions will complete the process (credit card users will see a message that the account was successfully enrolled).
  15. Select "Ok".

Auto-Pay

How to Enroll:

Option 1: Mail in the completed Auto-Pay Authorization Form with your payment for automatic ACH withdraw from your checking or savings account. 

Option 2: Enroll online for automatic withdraw from checking account, savings account or credit/debit card. 

  1. Go to the City of Bozeman Utilities page and select the “Pay Utilities” icon.
  2. Enter your User ID (email address) and password.
  3. Click on "Select Account".
  4. Choose your account.
  5. Select "Auto-Pay" (left side of the screen).
  6. A message will display that your account is currently not enrolled. Click "Enroll" from the menu.
  7. Select "other Checking/Savings" to sign up using a checking or savings account. Select "Other Debit/Credit" to use a Visa, Mastercard, or Discover card.
  8. Enter the required payment information.
  9. Confirm auto-pay information. Select "Continue".

Note: Payments from a checking or savings account will not process until the 15th of the month following enrollment. Payment on credit/debit card can be made immediately or on the next bill due date (15th of the month).

Change or Modify Auto-Pay Information

  1. Go to the City of Bozeman Utilities page and select the “Pay Utilities” icon.
  2. Select "Auto-Pay"
  3. Select "Modify Enrollment"
  4. Update your bank account information or for a credit card select "modify current card enrollment"
  5. On the next screen, make any address changes.
  6. To update card information such as the expiration date or card number, select "Clear Card Information" and enter it under "Card Details" on the next screen.

Stop Auto-Pay

Option 1: If there is a pending payment due, call (406) 582-2333

Option 2: If there isn't a pending payment due:

  1. Go to the City of Bozeman Utilities page and select the “Pay Utilities” icon
  1. Enter your User ID (email address) and password.
  2. Click on "Select Account".
  3. Choose your account.
  4. Select "Auto-Pay" (left side of the screen).
  5. Select "Disable" - continuing through the steps until the "Your account is Currently Not Enrolled" message is displayed
