If you require assistance in clearing snow from the sidewalks near your home, please review the following guidelines for requesting help from our Snow Angels.

• Read through the Snow Angels Legal Agreement (Applicant) document
• Be at least 62 years old or have a disability.
• Live within Bozeman City Limits (find out if your home is within city limits).
• Do not have resources (financial or family/ friends nearby) to assist with snow removal.

What You Need to Know About Snow Angel Assistance

• We will work closely with the community to recruit volunteers for the program, but we cannot guarantee that you will be matched.
• If you are matched with a volunteer we will notify you.
• Snow Angel assistance may not be immediate after a snowfall. Please be patient and allow your volunteer a reasonable amount of time to assist you. We recommend giving them 24 hours after a snowfall event. Your Snow Angel volunteer might have work, family, or personal commitments that could delay their ability to shovel your sidewalk right away.
• Please have a snow shovel available outside your residence for your volunteer to use. You do not need to be home when your Snow Angel arrives to clear your walkway.

What You Need to Know About Being a Snow Angel Volunteer

• Read through the Snow Angels Legal Agreement (Volunteers) document.
• We will first try to match you with a neighbor in need who lives in your area, unless you volunteer to travel further.
• We will contact you with confirmation details when you have been assigned a neighbor.
• You may not be assigned to help a neighbor immediately. Neighbors request help throughout the winter and it may be an immediate match, or a few weeks or more before you are matched based on incoming need requests.
• Please help out your neighbor as soon as you are able and within 24 hours of a snow event.
• Neighbors are expected to have a snow shovel for your use. If they are unable to provide one, we will notify you.
