Welcome Prospective Jurors for the Bozeman Municipal Court
Jury service is an important civic duty that provides an exceptional opportunity to participate in America’s judicial process.
To check the status of current trials, please call: (406) 582-2040 ext. 3.
Please be aware that the United States District Court - District of Montana, the Montana 18th Judicial District Court, and the Gallatin County Justice Court have all mailed juror postcards to City of Bozeman residents for jury duty. Please read the postcard carefully as it will indicate which court you have been selected for and which questionnaire you must fill out.
Please note that you are only required to appear for a trial date if you have received a blue summons that lists a specific date, time, and judge.
All prospective jurors must fill out and submit a jury questionnaire within 10 days of receipt of a white jury postcard. This questionnaire can be found online. If you would like a paper copy, please call (406) 582-2040 ext. 3 or email jury@bozeman.net.
SCAM ALERT: Any juror who does not comply with the summons may be brought to court by the Sheriff or a police officer. If a juror misses jury duty, they may be ordered to appear before a judge to explain their absence. The court and/or law enforcement will never contact you over the phone demanding a fee for missing Jury duty.
