Rouse Reconstruction - Main to Oak
The Rouse Ave - Main to Oak project continues for the week of June 8. Residents can expect additional closures as paving activities begin.
From Tuesday, June 9 through Friday, June 12, Rouse Avenue will be closed during daytime hours between Oak Street and Tamarack Street. Crews will be paving one side of the roadway at a time as well as intersections. During night hours, between 10 PM and 6 AM, travel on Rouse Avenue between Oak Street and Tamarack Street will open back up. Residents are asked to relocate vehicles parked on the street while crews are paving.
Crews are also working on Rouse Avenue between south of Tamarack Street and Lamme Street. This area is still closed to through traffic. Traffic continues to travel east and west through the Peach Street and Lamme Street intersections. Crews are excavating in the area and installing a new storm drain.
Local access, including access for businesses, residences, and emergency vehicles continues to remain open throughout this time. Starting June 15, Rouse Avenue will be closed between Main Street and Lamme Street.
Traffic will be detoured via Griffin Drive, Seventh Avenue, and Main Street while crews are paving.. The detour map is available online at: https://www.mdt.mt.gov/pubinvolve/rouseoakmain/docs/May-2020-Traffic-Control-Plan.pdf.
We currently anticipate construction to wrap up in December 2020. If any delays in the schedule occur, we will notify you as soon as possible.
