Rouse & Peach Closures
Peach will remain closed to thru traffic from Rouse Avenue to Church Street for the week of October 14. Crews are removing the existing structure around the creek and prepping the area for the new box culvert. This includes putting down rip rap (large rocks) along the creek to help guide the water and to help with erosion. Northwestern Energy will also be in the Peach Street project area installing a gas main.
On Rouse Avenue, workers are performing exploratory excavation, digging along the side of the roadway to verify underground sewer and gas lines. Work will occur on Rouse Avenue from Oak Street to Lamme Street. While exploratory excavation is happening, travel will be limited to one-lane and a flagger will be present to guide traffic through the area. Drivers can expect delays of up to 15 minutes. Rouse Avenue will have normal two-way flow during non-construction hours (after 7pm and before 7am and on Sundays).
Peach Street businesses remain open.
Crews will work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Detour signage will be in place. Drivers should expect delays in the area surrounding this closure and should allow for extra drive time.
