Exciting Things are Happening in Long Range Planning
Bozeman is updating its Community Plan (Growth Policy), Downtown Neighborhood Plan and reviewing the Neighborhood Conservation Overlay District!
Exciting things are happening this year in planning Bozeman’s future! The City of Bozeman has three long range planning projects actively underway:
1) Update and replacement to the Bozeman Community Plan which sets broad policy for land use and development throughout the community,
2) Update to the Downtown Neighborhood Plan which looks in detail and land use and design in the Downtown portion of the community,
3) A review of the Neighborhood Conservation Overlay District and historic preservation program. Check out this video describing this program.
All three have recently completed initial public outreach and engagement and have prepared summaries of the work. All summaries are available online at the following links or in hard copy at the Department of Community Development at 20 E Olive Street.
All work influences the others and there are many areas of overlapping interest by the public such as transportation, open space, and quality of life. Therefore, all public input is being shared with the work teams of all three projects. New public events will be held in the first and third weeks of October to continue the three projects. Schedules of events will be shared when available. See the available schedule of events for the Neighborhood Conservation Overlay District.
