On a regular basis, we take numerous reports of stolen bicycles in the area. Sometimes locked bicycles have been stolen but more often than not, they are unlocked. While it still is not right to take someone’s bike just because it is unlocked, we encourage everyone to take the extra time to lock your bikes to prevent the easy theft. So far, there have been $28,000 worth of bikes stolen in 2018.
So far in 2018 we have taken 12 reports of stolen or unauthorized use of a vehicle. Just as with the bicycles, these vehicles are rarely locked. Sometimes they are located and sometimes they are not. Here is a list of outstanding stolen vehicles from our area. If anyone sees one of these vehicles or knows where one is located please call your local law enforcement.
