Story Mill Community ParkAmenities:
The 60-acre Story Mill Community Park, recently acquired through the 2012 Trails, Open Space and Park bond fund, is being developed in partnership with the Trust for Public Land. The northern portion of the park will feature an adventure playground, picnic pavilions, scenic overlook, amphitheater, gardens, and a future community center (formerly the Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Montana facility). The southern portion of the park will remain a natural area with restored wetlands accessible by trails and boardwalks with bird and wildlife watching opportunities. Construction of park amenities began in 2017 and a grand opening is scheduled for July 20, 2019.
A description of the project and illustrations of the proposed park may be found on the Trust for Public Land website here.
