Arbor Day is Friday, April 25!
The Forestry Division, in collaboration with Gallatin Watershed Council, is hosting an Arbor Day tree-planting event on April 25 at noon at Oak Springs Park (corner of Renova Lane and Yellowstone Ave). All are invited to attend and participate!
Did you know? Bozeman has been a recognized as a Tree City US for 31 years. To be considered, cities must meet four overarching standards: maintain a tree board or department, have a community tree ordinance, spend at least $2 per capita on urban forestry, and celebrate Arbor Day.
Branch of Bozeman is a collaboration between the City of Bozeman and the Gallatin Watershed Council that aims to enhance Bozeman's tree canopy through plantings that address water quality, social equity, and urban heat islands, and additional plantings will continue throughout the year.
