Fermented Sauerkraut- November 21, 6:00 – 7:30 pm

Join Integrative Nutrition Coach Karen Mitchell in these fun fermentation classes! Learn how to make a batch of sauerkraut – either traditional with green cabbage and caraway seeds, or innovative with cabbage, veggies and various spices. Deliciousness in a jar, and good for you, too.  Registration is required.

You’ll learn how to create homemade, probiotic rich, fermented pickles and krauts, and why they can be a beneficial part of a healthy diet. Fermented foods have been proven to improve digestion and immunity, help alleviate common ailments and even help with weight loss.

 

Karen is an Integrative Nutrition Coach with Lemon Twist Wellness and sees clients at Enso Natural Medicine. In her practice, she weaves together nutrition and wellness expertise with everyday mindfulness to help clients heal their bodies and live the life they wish for. Her unique story includes continuing to heal from SIBO and an autoimmune disease and their subsequent co-infections. She is a graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. As an avid gardener and foodie, she plays and creates in her kitchen with fermentation and other methods of cooking.
