The City of Bozeman Maintenance Division operates a year round sanitary sewer flushing and root-cutting program providing an extremely serviceable system to our customers.
During the summer months we often have two crews each with two people to strengthen our sewer flushing and root-cutting programs. A root-cutting and flushing crew is pictured below (fig 1).
Sewer taps on live sewer mains move to full force in the summer. Contractors are busy and we step up to keep the construction flowing smoothly. A picture of a sewer tap being made is shown below (fig 2).
Since 1993 City maintenance crews have identified and repaired many deficiencies in our sanitary sewer collection system. This is attributable largely to a video inspection program, which has helped us maintain an extremely serviceable collection system. During the summer months, we are busy inspecting newly installed infrastructure with our televising van.
