LAND APPLICATION / BIOSOLIDS INJECTION  

Provides for the beneficial reuse and recycling of this nutrient-rich biproduct. 

The Bozeman WWTP land application program provides for the beneficial reuse of biosolids which are an excellent soil conditioner that is high in nitrogen and phosphorus.  The Bozeman WWTP operates its biosolids injection program from April each year until the ground freezes in the fall.  During a typical year we land apply over 7,000,000 gallons of biosolids and utilize over 530 acres of EPA approved farmland.
