The City of Bozeman has begun the process of updating its growth policy, the Bozeman 2020 Community Plan. Information will be posted here as it becomes available. If you wish to be informed of opportunities to participate in the update please e-mail your address and name to planning@bozeman.net.

The Planning Board is holding a public meeting to discuss arts and culture on April 15th.

A public meeting to discuss housing issues is scheduled for May 20th.

A public workshop on future land use was held on December 1st at the Bozeman Public Library.

Three citizen panels were conducted on Oct. 25, 2007 to discuss land use issues with groups of randomly selected citizens. Summary of comments - City Hall, Library, and Professional Building sessions.

A review of the existing growth policy was prepared by Clarior Associates to identify strengths and areas for possible improvement. An appendix has sample materials.

The existing growth policy may be found on the Department of Planning and Community Development website.

The future land use map, Figure 6-2 in the plan, has been updated for amendments. The new planning area for the 2007 update has also been added as the outermost green dashed line. The color shaded areas represent the entire planning area originally used for the 2001 plan.
