Beall Ice Rink

Beall Park was donated to the City of Bozeman in 1919 by Mrs. Rosa M. Beall (pronounced "Bell" as documented by Mrs. Houston, author of "Early History of Gallatin County", 1949) to be used as a recreation park.  In 1927 Mrs. Beall donated the Beall Park building, to be used as a recreational facility.  The building had been leased by Beall Park Arts Center, Inc. since 1984 and was used prior to that as a public day care center for children.  The building has been renovated and is the new home to the City Of Bozeman Recreation Department.  Beall Park is one of three parks that the Parks Department builds an open air ice rink on during the winter months.  This is a tradition that goes back to the 1930's.
