Bicycling in Bozeman is one of the advantages of living here. Unfortunately, bicyclists can also become victims of theft, and Bozeman is no exception to this national trend. As of August 2016, the Bozeman Police Department has received over 120 bicycle theft complaints with reported losses in the tens of thousands of dollars. The thefts are occurring in all areas of Bozeman in both the daytime and nighttime hours. Many of the stolen bikes occur when bikes are left unlocked. However, with a recent increase of locks being cut, the Bozeman Police Department has some simple tips to keep your bike safe.

Lamme will be closed between Rouse and Church on Thursday, August 25 for gas service repair. This closure is expected to last one day.

W. Garfield will be closed to thru traffic between Fowler and Bart Farm Rd starting Tuesday, August 23rd for pipeline installation. This closure is expected to last 6 weeks.

S. Tracy will be closed for sewer manhole repair between College and Dickerson starting Monday, August 22. Tracy is expected to reopen the morning of Thursday, August 25.

S. Grand will be closed for curb replacement between Olive and Babcock starting Tuesday, August 23rd, weather permitting. This work is expected to take 10 days.

Beginning Thursday, August 18, the intersection of Wallace and Peach will be closed. Tamarack will be reopen from Wallace to Rouse as Northwestern Energy completes their gas line work. Only local traffic will be allowed in the work zones.

The eastbound lane of Main Street between Willson and Tracy will be closed starting Monday, August 22 for replacement of the sewer service to the Rialto. This closure is expected to last until Thursday.
