SouthCentral6Start a Recognized Neighborhood Association

This is your chance to shape the future of your neighborhood!

The City's Neighborhoods Program partners with citizens to help them organize new neighborhood associations which may be oficially recognized by the City.

If you believe a neighborhood association will help improve and enhance the livability of your neighborhood, please contact the Neighborhood Coordinator. Brit Fontenot is the Assistant to the City Mamager and  Neighborhoods Coordinator.  He can be contacted at 406.582.2258  or via e-mail at bfontenot@bozeman.net

City staff will work with you to establish a recognized neighborhood association in your area and will suggest ways you can participate in your local government.

Each recognized neighborhood association will need residents to serve as board members, to work on committees and to get involved in special projects.  The recently adopted Neighborhood Recognition Ordinance (Ordinance 1728) outlines the criteria, responsibilities and benefits of becoming a recognized neighborhood association in the City of Bozeman.

"Organized neighborhoods make a city a community!"
