Tree Planting on Public Right-of-Ways

All tree plantings on public right-of-ways require a permit.  An application for a planting permit must be filed with the Forestry Department prior to planting. This permit has no cost and helps to ensure that all plantings conform with current regulations and that appropriate species are selected. Applications can be mailed or emailed to the Forestry Department. Please print a copy of the application for your records.ST_low

Tree Placement

Trees must be planted 10' back from other signs. Large species trees should be placed 35' apart, while smaller species can be placed 25' apart.
