2007
TREE REPLACEMENT PROGRAM
This program is closed for 2007 and will re-open
in June 2008.
To schedule a site inspection for the 2008 program please call 582-3200.
This year, The City of Bozeman Forestry Division will be starting a tree replacement program beginning on May 1, 2007. The City will contribute toward the purchase of new trees for Bozeman residents who have lost a boulevard tree as a result of disease or vandalism.
Homeowners can obtain a $75 voucher for tree replacement by calling the Forestry Division to schedule a site inspection (582-3200). Existing trees will be evaluated by one of the city arborists, along with location of underground utilities and space requirements. If the arborist removes the existing tree, a voucher and planting permit will be issued to the homeowner. Trees may be planted by the homeowner or participating nursery.
Vouchers may be used at the following businesses:
Cashman Nursery
Heisel's Tree Farm
Lawson's Nursery
Oak Gardens
Reese Creek Tree Farm
Wagner Nursery
Participating nurseries may collect vouchers until December 31, 2007, and can be mailed to the City of Bozeman Forestry Division for reimbursement. (P.O. Box 1230, Bozeman, MT 59771.)
Local nurseries participating in this program must adhere to the planting specifications and species list approved by the City of Bozeman Forestry Division for planting on public right of way.
