Curbside Compost

HomeFinance HomeTreasuryFrequently Asked Questions > What can I put out for curbside compost at my house?

Curbside compost collection runs between mid-May and early September.  The compost truck passes by once a week.  The compost day may not necessarily be the same day as your garbage pickup day.  Have all compost out Monday morning to ensure you do not miss the truck.  You may put your compost in your own container marked "compost", or you may put it in lawn & leaf bags leaving them open so that they can see that it is compost.  Compost includes grass clippings, weeds, and small branches about the diameter of your finger.  For questions regarding what is considered compost, please call the City Shops at 582-3200.
