By City Resolution 2767, all City utility accounts must stay in the name of the legal owner of the property.  We cannot put accounts in the name of any tenant.  If you are responsible for payment of City utilities and need to receive the billing for those utilities, we can send the bill to: Property Owner's Name, c/o current resident, at the service address.  In order to do this, the owner of the property must sign the City of Bozeman Utility Waiver. (click here).  If you are renting from a property management company, we will need the company to arrange billing information with us. Also, garbage service cannot be started without the consent of the property owner or property management company.  If you cannot get this permission, you will need to contact a private garbage hauler.  Water, sewer and garbage are always billed together and cannot be separated.
