Magic Diamond Casino, 2609 W. Main – November 30, 2009

At approximately 11:15 p.m., Saturday, November 28, 2009, a male adult entered the Magic Diamond Casino at 2609 W. Main brandishing a handgun and demanded money from an employee located in the inside cash booth. The employee complied with the demand and placed the money into a bag. The male left on foot.

This male is described as 5’11”, slender build, and appears to be the same suspect as other area robberies. We cannot disclose the amount of money taken at this time. As any video or photographs come available, we will forward those to you.

The department is continuing an investigation into all robberies and encourage citizens with information relative to these crimes to call us at 582-2010, call Crimestoppers at 586-1131 or email us at policetips@bozeman.net. Persons that provide information leading to the identification and/or arrest of the person involved in these robberies are eligible for a $1,000 cash reward.


Days Inn Robbery – November 16, 2009

At approximately 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 15, 2009, a male entered the Days Inn, brandished a handgun and demanded money from the register. An employee gave the male an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and the male fled on foot. As of today, the male has not been located or identified. No one was injured.

The male is described as being approximately 5’8”, thin build, approximately 160 pounds, Caucasian, under 30 years old, short brown hair, clean shaven, wearing a gray under-armor hoodie and blue jeans.

We have not ruled out that this robbery is related to other city robberies or those that occurred last week in Butte and Whitehall.



 

Area Robberies-request for information – November 12, 2009

Butte Robbery SuspectThe Bozeman Police Department, in cooperation with the Butte Silverbow Law Enforcement agency and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office are requesting assistance from the public. On Monday night, at approximately 10:50 p.m., an armed robbery occurred at a convenience store in Butte. A male entered the store and brandished a handgun to an employee and demanded money. After the money was given the suspect fled. Approximately 30 minutes later another armed robbery occurred at a casino in Whitehall. Again a male entered and brandished a handgun at the employee. After money was given the male fled.

The suspect is described as a male in his twenties, 5'8" to 5'10" with a med build. Suspect was clean shaven with short dark hair. He was wearing a blue and black jacket, a camo baseball style hat, and sunglasses.

In light of recent robberies in Bozeman, we are working with these agencies and following through on any leads that may indicate these crimes are related. We are attaching photos from our initial Robbery at Lucky Lils, as well as suspect photos from both Butte and Whitehall robberies. The video attached is from surveillance video cameras from the convenience store robbed in Butte.

We encourage anyone with information related to identifying this suspect are urged to call the Bozeman Police Department at 582-2000, or Crimestoppers at 586-1131. November 7, 2009 - Robbery, Fairfield Inn

At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Friday night, November 6, 2009, a male entered the Fairfield Inn at 800 Wheat Drive. The male brandished a black, possibly semi-automatic, handgun to a female employee and demanded money from the business. After money was given, the employee was ordered to the floor and told not to get up, resulting in a delay to call law enforcement

The suspect is described as a younger male, but older than High School age, 5'7" to 5'10", medium build, wearing a green zip up hoodie and black framed oversized sunglasses.

We have not determined if this robbery is related to a recent robbery at Lucky Lils. We can not disclose the amount of money taken at this time.

Robbery Update – October 27, 2009

Bozeman Robbery SuspectPlease see attached photo of the suspect. Small correction the scarf worn by suspect was red, not black. Also the suspect was described as wearing green plaid “pajama” style pants. We continue to ask for input from the public regarding this suspect.

Robbery - October 25, 2009

Robbery SuspectOn October 24, 2009, at approximately 11:00 p.m., a male assailant entered the Lucky Lills casino located at 2401 W. Main. This male was wearing mask and brandished a black handgun and demanded money from employees. The male demanded and was given an undetermined amount of money from employees and fled on foot. The male was followed for a short distance by an employee. The male is described as "skinny", approximately 6'0" tall, in his 20's, and last wearing a white sweatshirt with a black scarf. No employees were injured during this robbery.

An investigation is on-going and any updates will be released as the investigation proceeds.
