The City of Bozeman Human Resource office provides programs, consultation,
information and options that support and empower managers, in order to attract,
train, motivate, retain, and reward a workforce which can provide efficient,
cost effective services to the citizens.
The City has a centralized personnel system covering 300+ full-time employees
and provides services to the City Commission, all city departments, many boards
and committees. The Human Resource Division, consisting of two employees,
provides recruitment of employees; records management on current and former
employees; development and administration of the personnel classification
system, personnel policies, employee benefits and position descriptions; labor
negotiations; interpretation and enforcement of collective bargaining
agreements; employee grievances mediation; administration of the City's Drug &
Alcohol Testing Policy, and employee workers' compensation.
