About the Marwyn-Lindley Neighborhood...

Boundaries:

  • North: Properties on North side of East Babcock Street
  • South: Properties on North side and South side of East Curtiss Street
  • East: Properties on West side of Highland Boulevard
  • West: Properties on East side of Cypress Avenue including properties on East Olive, Alysworth and McAdow Streets

Subdivisions: The majority of the area within the boundaries falls within the Marwyn subdivision. The subdivision still maintains covenants, however the neighborhood organization does not have the ability to formally enforce the covenants.

Businesses: Two non in-home businesses exist within the boundaries of the Marwyn subdivision. 2 Businesses exist within the boundaries on Highland Blvd. A low number of in-home businesses may also exist. A City-owned facility, the Lindley Center, exists within the boundaries.

Size and Rentals: The roughly 65 properties within the boundaries are zoned R-1. No apartment buildings or condos exist within the boundaries.

Structure: The MarLINN neighborhood has a representative structure consisting of Chair - Vice-Chair - Secretary / Treasurer.

Communication: The neighborhood communicates using flyers and newsletters and annual meeting. The block representatives are responsible for delivering to each home on their street.
