Dutch Elm Disease
Dutch Elm Disease has been responsible for the loss of a great number of American Elm trees across the country over the past 80 years. While we have not found it here in Bozeman, it was positively identified in Livingston in the summer of 2006 by personnel from this department and Nina Zidack of the MSU Diagnostics Lab. If you have any questions about trees in your neighborhood please contact us or your county extension agent. We want people to be aware of this disease and its symptoms, so we are providing the following link for more information.
