SOUTH 19TH
For: October 23 - 30, 2009
Project Description: S. 19th Avenue Construction Project
Road Information: Rainy, cold
weather early in the week delayed the paving progress on S. 19th
which, in turn, delayed other aspects of the project. Knife River aims to wrap
up work for the season by mid-November.
Paving between Babcock and Dickerson was scheduled to be completed on Monday,
Oct. 19, but was delayed until Wednesday, Oct. 21. All paving and sidewalk work
for the project has now been completed. No delays or detours are expected for
the remainder of the project.
The traffic light installation at the intersection of S. 19th and W.
Koch is scheduled to be completed Nov. 4. Crews are working hard to complete
median curb-cap installation and top soiling. Once those are completed, the
project will wrap up for the year.
Chip sealing and final permanent pavement markings will occur next spring.
