  Curbside Recycling


The City of Bozeman started the “Bozeman Recycles Curbside” program December 1, 2008. This program offers once a week pickup and is available to everyone who uses City of Bozeman Garbage Collection Service. With this service customers can recycle:

  • Cardboard         
  • Office-type paper
  • Telephone books
  • Magazines
  • Junk Mail
  • Newsprint
  • Tin & Aluminum Cans
  • All Plastics

Customers wishing to sign up for curbside recycling service will be charged a basic $10 fee. This $10 fee includes one 18 gallon tote.

The City also offers 65 gallon and 100 gallon totes for commercial and multi-residential customers. These totes may only be used for one type of commodity. The prices for these totes include the $10 basic fee and are as follows:

  • $4.00   - Each additional 18-gallon tote
  • $8.00   - Add one 65-gallon tote
  • $14.00 - Add two 65-gallon totes
  • $19.00 - Add three 65 gallon totes
  • $10.00 - Add one 100-gallon tote (plastic or cans only)
  • $18.00 - Add two 100-gallon totes (plastic or cans only)

Oil and antifreeze are accepted at the City Shops Complex located at 814 N Bozeman.

The City of Bozeman has joined the Gallatin County Solid Waste Management District. As of April 18th, 2008, the Recycling Drop-off Sites throughout the City and County are being managed by the District.
