Police Officer Employment
Thank you for your interest in the Bozeman Police Department. The Bozeman Police Department is a member of the Montana Law Enforcement Testing Consortium (MTLETC). The Montana Law Enforcement Testing Consortium administers a written test and physical fitness test in order to create a pool of candidates for the position of entry-level peace officer with our department.
WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY HIRING SWORN POLICE OFFICERS
. As vacancies occur, we will update this website.
Candidates who successfully pass the MTLETC written test and physical fitness test will be placed on a candidate eligibility list for 18 months. You cannot apply with the Bozeman Police Department unless you are on the MTLETC candidate eligibility list.
Regardless of whether we have vacancies, we encourage you not to wait to complete the MTLETC written and physical test.
