The primary duties of the motorcycle patrol officer are traffic complaint enforcement, high congestion traffic control and enforcement, accident reduction enforcement and traffic escorts, such as parades and other special events.
Training to become a motorcycle patrol officer is exhaustive and extremely challenging. Officers must successfully complete an 80 hour police motorcycle operator course prior to being assigned to the motorcycle patrol unit. Our officers operate Harley Davidson police package motorcycles.
