Divisions

Patrol Division The primary responsibilities of the patrol officer are answering calls for service from the public, providing law enforcement education, and enforcing criminal and traffic laws.  
 

Investigative Division The primary responsibility of the investigation division is to investigate the vast amount of felony property and violent crimes that occur within the city limits of Bozeman. This division is an anchor to the patrol division, as they can take over complex investigations, thus allowing the patrol officers to focus on patrol-related duties.

Support Services Division  Support services include Animal Control and Parking Enforcement.  While many of their duties are also performed by police officers, these employees perform focused enforcement and education in their respective specialty areas.
