Senior Citizens' Advisory Board

Public Meeting Schedule:

The February meeting was moved from the 1st to the 15th and moved to the Madison room at city Hall. (upstairs)

This board meets the first Wednesday of each month at 1:15 p.m. in the City Commission room at City Hall, 121 North Rouse.

Purpose / Creation:

This board is advisory to the Commission and makes recommendations on matters regarding senior citizen issues.

The Senior Citizens' Advisory Board was created under Resolution No. 2782 in 1990 and revised by Ordinance No. 1521 in 2000 and again by Ordinance No. 1748 in 2008.

The City Commission Liaison for this board is Deputy Mayor Sean Becker.  

Membership:

This board is comprised of seven members, appointed to staggered two year terms.  A minimum of five of the members must reside within city limits.
