North Seventh Urban Renewal Board (NSURB)

Public Meeting Schedule:

NSURB meets the first Thursday of each month at 4:30 p.m. in the Stiff Professional Building at 20 East Olive Street in the upstairs conference room.

Purpose / Creation:

This board was created with the Urban Renewal Plan for the North Seventh corridor and adjacent properties that was adopted by Ordinance No. 1685 in 2006.  The NSURB is responsible for implementation of the North Seventh Urban Renewal Plan. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Developing plans which implement the vision of the District;
  • reviewing on an ongoing basis the operation and processes of all public agencies to assure that such activities are supportive of the Plan; and
  • advocate and coordinate the complete and full implementation of the Plan.

Liaisons:

The City Commission Liaison for this board is Mayor Jeff Krauss.  The City staff liaison for this board is Keri Thorpe.  Ms. Thorpe can be reached at kthorpe@bozeman.net or (406) 582-2260.

NSURB At A Glance - 2010 Report.

Membership:

The NSURB is made up of five voting members and four non-voting members appointed to staggered four year terms.  Individuals appointed shall have a demonstrated interest in the District or adjacent neighborhoods.  Voting Members are appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Commission and the non-voting members are ratified by the City Commission.  Any person may be appointed as a voting member if they reside within the municipality however the preferred composition would include two residents of the District, two business owners in the District, and one member at large.
